Pet insurance can actually be very important for many reasons as our house has just recently found out. Basically we have had our golden retriever for a number of years and he hasn’t really had any problems at all other than a skin condition which is apparently quite common for golden retrievers but other than that we do not seem to have had any problems at all.

However recently his eye has been weeping and over time a small black lump has started to grow over his eye. Although at first it didnt seem like it was bothering him we had to keep wiping his eye so we just decided that we should take him to the vet to make sure he was okay. the first time we took him they said he was fine but he would need to come back after we had used some eye drops on him.

To make sure that it stayed away they said that they would need to do a small operation on the eye. The cost that came out was a large £300 sum. This may not sound much compared to what some pet bills come to but it is still a lot of money to fork out for over the Christmas period. It is actually very lucky that we still had the pet insurance because we were thinking about putting an end to it.

So it just goes to show that you may need insurance when you don’t think you do. You can even get things like puppy insurance which of course are based around the younger dogs.

If you are thinking about going away to a colder climate this year then make sure you do not forget your ski insurance.

There are so many things that you can buy for the garden that your family can enjoy whether it is something like a trampoline or wooden play equipment which of these is going to be best for you, of course it depends on how big your garden is and what your family likes but here are just a few ideas to get you started.

The Seasons

Although winter is now out in force it doesn’t matter as many of these things can of course be used in the cold weather (put those coats, hats and gloves on kids). There are actually many things you could be putting in place in the colder months of the year?

Wooden Play Equipment

This is something that can be very useful as you can use it in the rain which is pretty good for the kids! If your kids are anything like mine you will know they will change the game depending on the weather. That pretend cruise could all of a sudden turn into a battle for survival as the “storm” rages against the ship. I don’t know, kids are crazy like that. The only problem is that if you have a metal slide attached to the equipment it could get very wet and slippery in the rain so just watch out.

Trampoline

Trampolines are used mostly through the summer but they can of course be used during the winter and this is because when it rains the rain goes through the mesh in the middle! This isnt just for kids as many adults will love spending time on these too so take this into consideration.

So although there are really just a couple of ideas to keep you going there they will prove to be very useful as it will give the kids and potentially everyone in the family a bit of fun in the outdoor environment, get out those climbing frames!

With all us Brits wrapping up for the onslaught of England’s December weather, Aussies are bathing in the sun getting ready for their summer! So it’s not surprising many people are thinking of ditching their woolly coats and beanies and getting there swim gear on to go on a Australia holiday for Christmas. For Christmas purist the thought of a hot Christmas is out of the question however you might be tempted when you know a little more…

Australia is lucky enough to guarantee sunshine and temperatures up to 36′C through December. Think beautiful golden beaches and clear waters and instead on warming your stove auger you will be setting up your BBQ. It’s not all about sunshine there are loads of activities happening in Australia throughout December to make your Christmas very special, here are some of the events I found special:

Beach Night Markets This is not your ordinary market, with over 75 stalls set on the beach at St Kilda you can spend all night wondering through the exceptionally wide variety of stalls. It happens every Thursday night throughout December and really cannot be missed. There really is something or everyone and even you’re not keen shopper you can go to food canteen and then sit and listen to the music being played.

Christmas Carnival To get you really in the Christmas spirit Alive Springs Christmas carnival provides plenty of xmas cheer! The carnival is very hectic but lots of fun with music, circus performers and magicians. If you’ve got children this night will be guaranteed success with market stalls offering arts and crafts and also the Universal Solar Garden. Don’t miss this carnival it begins on the 11th.

Sydney New Year Fireworks Famous throughout the world and something that cannot be missed! Sydney bridge and opera house as the backdrop to this event you won’t see a more special, beautiful fireworks show. This is the largest display in the world and shown to millions of TV views however seeing the fireworks display in real life is truly breathtaking and Sydney is undoubtedly the best city to see in 2010. As well as the New Year fireworks shows Sydney also has the Sydney Festival which highlights the hottest talent from Australia and includes music, dance, theatre and visual arts.

If tempted try these Australian tour.

Most people would have already brought their children’s Christmas presents now considering that it is next Friday now. Surely your kids are starting to get a bit anxious now that it is nearly time for Santa. Of course once they have actually broken up for the holidays there is no way you are going to be able to contain their excitement.

So if you are still hunting down for a Christmas present or perhaps you are thinking about the spring/summer already then perhaps you should look into something for the Garden to get the kids.

Trampoline

A trampoline is something that can be very useful for children and adults of all ages and there is a very simple reason behind this. They are great fun! trampoline can be a great way to exercise and have fun which is why it can be a cool thing for adults. You can also get a variety of sizes like 12ft trampoline which means you can get one that is suited for your children’s ages.

If you have a toddler that has really been wanting a trampoline but you know for a fact that a great big trampoline would be pretty dangerous for a 3-4 yr old to have then never fear as there are many trampolines out there that are designed for one person and basically they work as you can put the toddler on it and they grab a single bar and jump up and down on the mini trampoline.

These are great because you can also put these indoors which means even if is raining the kids can have a bit of a bounce.

If you have a very big garden then you could of course go that one step further and get climbing toys.

So thats that really.

Because there are so many different types od jewellery out there it can be very difficult indeeed to decide on what piece to get your partner. Here are just a few ideas thrown out there if you havent quite managed to get your loved one that present yet. ( you are running out of time)

Proposal?

Perhaps the best Christmas present fro your partner could actually come in the form of asking him/her to marry you. Of course you can ask yoru guy to marry you, there is nothing wrong with this at all it just isnt that traditional! Although something like this should most certainly be a surprise it can be said, without a doubt you should know that the both of you want to spend the rest of your lives together.

Something Special

If you are not quite at the stage where you are ready to get down on one knee then perhaps getting something like a pendant is a good idea. This is a really cool idea for a couple that havent spent that long together, it still shows that you really care. I would not recommend getting mens jewellery for your man if you have just started going out because I am not sure they would be the type of guy to enjoy wearing it.

Been Together A While?

There is nothing wrong with going after jewellery if you are married or have been together for quite some time and the best route to go down is usually something along the lines of silver rings as it would seem that many, many women love their silver jewellery.

If you have still not mamaged to go out and get your christmas present for your partner yet there is no need to worry as there is still time left.

It does seem like a bit of a strange thing to say but the Christmas period could be a key time to be wearing the sunglasses. But why is this?

Sunlight

It is very hard to believe that harmful UV lights can still push through the clouds and hit the earth surface. Just because it is cold on a sunny day it doesn’t mean that the sun isn’t as powerful so make sure that if the sun is out you are wearing those designer sunglasses as they will really help you out. The best thing to do is that if it is sunny, just pop them on, then you know that you are safe.

How is it possible for the sun to come through the clouds and damage my eyes on a cold day?

One of the major problems are that UV rays are invisible which means you can never tell if they are pushing through or not. Obviously you shouldn’t be wearing sunglasses if it is pouring down with rain but if it is a bit cloudy just take them with you anyway. The UV light will actually go into the eyes and start to cause a reaction within the tissue. Once this damage has been done there is no way it can be reversed which is why it is so important that you wear those ray ban sunglasses.

Eye Disease

The sun can play a really big role in these diseases:

Cataract

Pteryguim

Skin Cancer

Age- Related Macular Degeneration

So as you can see it is certainly worth getting those sunglasses out. If you already where glasses then do not worry as you can get prescription sunglasses that are made for the sun!

So in the chilly season this year make sure that you have your sunglasses in your pocket at the very least to make sure the eyes are fully protected.

There are a lot of things out there to do to help brighten up the garden for both the wildlife and for you and your family.

Wildlife

There are so many different ways that animal lovers can bring animals into their gardens. One of the best things you can do which don’t prove to be that expensive is start to get in bird feeders and bird boxes along with the bird bath. The great thing about this is that you are allowing the birds to eat, drink and breed all in the comfort of your own garden and it keeps predators away too. The great thing is that once you have a family in the box the will often return the next year which can actually be very rewarding.

If you have the money then it is always a good idea to get a pond installed into the garden as this will start to attract some of the bigger animals like frogs, hedgehogs and foxes. There are however people out there that do not want the fox in the garden but this is really up to you, do not get a pond if you dont want one.

Family

There are so many things that you should be looking out for when it comes to the family and the garden and they can really help boost the fun that can be had in the outdoors. My personal favourite has to be the 8ft trampoline but of course there are many others out there like outdoor play equipment and swing sets and getting one of these could really fill those summer months bit a bit of fun.

All of these things can actually be done as a family, it is quite fun going and fitting bird boxes and bird feeding places but also fun to have a mess around on a trampoline!

So there you have it

With money being hard to keep to ourselves, with bills and everything, is it possible for us to still embark on a luxury holiday. Saying that, things seem to be looking up on the holiday side of things, prices have fallen and all inclusive holidays have become more available.

However does this really help us, although holiday prices are coming down the odds are we still won’t be able to afford luxury holidays. Bills and mortgages do take a large sum of our money, but will a luxury holiday cost all that much? If you look around you will find more and more deals coming in, with travel agents trying to send you all over the world for as little as possible, even on Australia holidays where you have the clean white beaches and 5 star hotels, all of the pampering that you would ever need from a holiday.

Looking around for the best deals will help, but because competition is so tough they are all bringing their prices down just keep up with each other. We cant always get distracted by bills, we all need some time away from the reality of things sometimes, how does a luxury holiday for a week/weekend sound now that they are cheaper.

Some people are even having their weddings abroad because the prices are even cheaper abroad than they are at home, this shows that holidays at home might not be that cheap either. Luxury holidays are probably the best way to get away from stress, you can go and get pampered and fall into dreamland. Yes then, luxury holidays are easier for us to afford and they have come down in price, so will you put a little more cash into a holiday to have a bit more luxury?

Check out luxury Australian Tours and package holidays to Australia.

With money being hard to keep to ourselves, with bills and everything, is it possible for us to still embark on a luxury holiday. The holiday market however is showing that the prices are dropping, and they are giving us more diversity, making the decision easier for us.

However does this really help us, although holiday prices are coming down the odds are we still won’t be able to afford luxury holidays. We do have bills to pay and expenses going out and a luxury holiday probably doesn’t seem that cheap, but how much is it? If you look around you will find more and more deals coming in, with travel agents trying to send you all over the world for as little as possible, even on Australia holidays where you have the clean white beaches and 5 star hotels, all of the pampering that you would ever need from a holiday.

Looking around for the best deals will help, but because competition is so tough they are all bringing their prices down just keep up with each other. The thing is that even if bills are burning holes in our pockets, we all need to get away from it all once in a while and even luxury holidays are coming down in price so much that it’s easier for us to go away for a week or weekend.

Some people are even having their weddings abroad because the prices are even cheaper abroad than they are at home, this shows that holidays at home might not be that cheap either. Now that luxury holidays are becoming more avalable to us its easier to get away from all the stress at work and home. So yes luxury holidays are becoming easier to afford, and it will help with the stress of home and work life, but money is money, so what will you do?
